The main focus of Redfish Software is the development of applications to manage and use the data within a database. This includes database frontends, administration systems and backup solutions.

Two useful advantages of a centralised database system are flexibility and accessibility; we aim to take full advantage use of these aspects. For example, a company-wide inventory database can be linked to an online catalogue, providing on-line sales services without requiring data entry or website maintenance when products change.

The development of database applications can be in the following areas:

• Application frontends, allowing access to data from within an organisation
• Web-based frontends, allowing the rest of the world access to data
• Middleware, for integrating existing database systems or applications
